March 16-17 High-Level Dialogue on Financing for Development UN Headquarters

(This year’s Dialogue will focus on the overall theme “The Monterrey Consensus and Doha Declaration on Financing for Development: status of implementation and tasks ahead”. The first day of the Dialogue will consist of plenary meetings chaired by the President of the General Assembly, at which ministers and high-level officials will be able to make formal statements. The second day will be devoted to three interactive multi-stakeholder round tables followed by an informal interactive dialogue with the participation of all relevant stakeholders.

Collective Consciousness and Action

Dr. Kurt Johnson of the National Service Conference will have an article on Collective Consciousness and Action in the spring issue of Kosmos, one of the leading magazines about world change. Kosmos, founded by Nancy Roof a co- founder of the Values and Spiritual caucuses at the UN. The article will also run on the Kosmos website www.kosmosjournal.org.

Week of Spirituality

Martha Gallahue, AEU Leader, will serve as Program Coordinator during the 3d Annual Week of Spirituality, October 25-30th at the United Nations. The title for the 5 day series of events at the UN and throughout the world is The Spirit of the UN: Global Peace through Reconciliation. www.csvgc-ny.org.The United Religious Initiative at the UN hosted a Side Event called "Reconciliation as a Key to Sustainability" developed by Martha, May 4th in Conference Room 6, 1:15-2:45pm. Racism & Human Rights

Lyndon Wilberg, former VP of NSC and Representative at the UN, co-founded a sub-committee against racism and all forms of discrimination within the CONGO Committee on Human Rights upon his return from the first World Conference Against Racism held in Durban South Africa, in 2001
